Testing Center

A proctored test is one that is taken under supervision. Some NCMC instructors require exams to be proctored. Check your online course syllabus to see if your class requires proctored exams.

Students who miss a test may be required to take a proctored make-up test at a later date.

There is no charge for students taking a proctored test for an NCMC class.  There is also no charge for students attending another Missouri community college for proctored tests.

Proctored testing is currently available at two locations: the Main Campus – Trenton and the Savannah Campus.

Accuplacer is a web-based test that evaluates student’s skills in Writing (WritePlacer), Reading and Math. Each subject is a separate test.

NCMC Degree-Seeking students, contact your advisor for more information concerning the portions of the Accuplacer you need to take. Dual Credit students contact Whitney Trump, non-degree seeking students should contact ur Accessibility Services Coordinator, Janelle Golden and new students will be advised during an OAR session.

The ATI TEAS, or Test of Essential Academic Skills, is designed specifically to assess a student’s preparedness entering the health science fields. The ATI TEAS test is comprised of 170 questions set up in a multiple-choice format with four-option answers. Questions are designed to test the basic academic skills you will need to perform in class in the areas of: Reading, Math, Science, and English and Language usage. Results provide valuable data used to evaluate a student’s likelihood for success in our nursing program.

Students have two options for completing the TEAS examination:

• You may complete it online through remote proctoring of the exam by an ATI proctor
• You may complete the exam at a PSI testing center *Please note – NCMC is not a PSI testing center

To set up an account and register for the exam, either with a remote ATI proctor or at a PSI testing center, please visit atitesting.com

The above website will also answer all of your questions in regard to the TEAS exam, including: test cost (around $120), test subject matter, testing format, PSI testing center sites and exam preparation products.

You will be responsible for uploading your TEAS results in the General File Upload in etrieve.  Your information will auto populate you will need to select TEAS score as the document type. Please type in the document reason TEAS score. Department, please select Nursing. The TEAS score will need to be in PDF form. Click attachments in the black bar at the bottom to attach the score. After you attach the score click submit in the black bar at the bottom of the screen.  If you have concerns, please contact Keri Johnson, [email protected] to make sure the school has received your scores as it is the students’ responsibility to make sure the school has received the score.

Respondus is a remote proctoring software. It allows students to take online assessments from a remote location – all while ensuring the integrity of the exam process.

The Resource Center has laptops with Respondus available for on campus use.

To reserve a laptop, select one of the following options:

• Email [email protected] with date, time, instructor name, class, and that you’re reserving a Respondus laptop
• Visit the Resource Center
