The North Central Missouri College Foundation is pleased to announce that Tara Webb of Chillicothe, Missouri, has been selected as the recipient of the Jack N. Young, Mildred M. Young, Noble J. Young, and Myra A. Young Upward Bound Dual Credit Scholarship. This scholarship, totaling $324, will assist with her dual credit tuition. Tara, a senior at Chillicothe High School and participant in NCMC’s Upward Bound program, plans to pursue a degree in nursing.
Upward Bound at North Central Missouri College is 100% funded by the U.S. Department of Education at a rate of $309,505.00 for the current year. The program supports high school students in preparing for successful college entry by offering academic instruction and advisement, motivational and study skill development, academic and cultural enrichment opportunities, and additional services that aid students committed to completing a postsecondary education. Upward Bound at NCMC currently serves students from Brookfield, Chillicothe, Gallatin, Hamilton, Trenton, and Tri-County.
