At North Central Missouri College, emphasis on activities within residence life can be seen on a weekly basis. These activities are chosen by the Housing Staff to fill student’s educational and recreational interests and needs. By supplying a wide variety of programs, the intention is to foster a sense of community, leadership skills, social skills, academic growth and cultural understanding. Possibly the greatest aim is that these activities include programs that meet a majority of the residence hall student’s interests and are an enjoyable experience.
Past activities have included pool parties, movie nights at Trenton Cinema, outdoor BBQ’s, theme dances in Ketcham Community Center, water balloon volleyball, flag football, Hall Olympics, kickball, obstacle races, s’mores nights on the lawn, video game tournaments, dodge ball tournaments, basketball “tips” tournaments, scavenger hunts, virtual race car driving, Halloween door decorating contests, pumpkin carving, coloring nights, casino nights, scrapbooking, and hall movie night.
