North Central Missouri College (NCMC) is proud to announce a major milestone for its Surgical Technology program: the Class of 2026 has achieved a 100% pass rate on the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) exam, marking the first time in the program’s history that every graduate has successfully earned certification on their first attempt.

All seven students in the cohort not only passed the rigorous national certification exam but have also secured employment in the surgical technology field, demonstrating the strength of NCMC’s training and the high demand for skilled surgical technologists.

“This is an exciting and historic achievement for our program,” said Jeremy Wilson, Surgical Technology Instructor and Program Director. “We are incredibly proud of our students and congratulate them on this outstanding accomplishment.”

The NCMC Surgical Technology program is an eleven-month Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree program designed to prepare students for careers as entry-level surgical technologists. Upon acceptance into the core program, students complete three semesters of full-time study, combining both classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience.

The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Courses for the program are offered at the NCMC Savannah Campus, providing students access to specialized training facilities and resources.

With all graduates of the Class of 2026 successfully certified and employed, NCMC continues to demonstrate its commitment to workforce development and excellence in allied health education.

“This 100% achievement reflects the combined efforts of dedicated students, experienced faculty, and strong clinical partnerships,” said Dr. Lenny Klaver, President. “It sets a new benchmark for future cohorts and reinforces NCMC’s reputation for producing highly qualified healthcare professionals.”
