Wyatt Moran from Plattsburgh, MO, has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Student for April. Wyatt, a Missouri A+ scholarship student, is pursuing his associate in science degree and will graduate in May. After graduating from NCMC, Wyatt plans to attend Kansas State University and obtain a degree in Civil Engineering.
Wyatt is a dedicated athlete on the Pirates baseball team and lives in the residence halls. When asked about his favorite class, Wyatt said Calculus with Instructor Auric Brockfeld, saying, “I enjoy the class because it is a challenge. It’s not typical math, so it pushes me.”
When asked why he chose NCMC, Wyatt said, “I chose NCMC because the A+ program allowed me to attend tuition-free, and I also had the opportunity to play baseball at the collegiate level. The instructors at NCMC are approachable and always willing to help if you have a problem. This made things a lot easier, especially the first year coming to college; my instructors helped me a lot.”
Each month, a student is nominated by a faculty or staff member to be featured as an Outstanding Student based on their dedication to educational success, attitude toward learning, and hard work in their field and activities.
